Todd was born into a creative family in Beaumont, Texas. He first started acting as a child doing theater, film and commercials. As a teen, Todd stopped acting and took an interest in playing guitar. He taught himself to play mostly playing with other people in Austin. Todd wrote his first song at seventeen and has been writing songs ever since.
In the 90's, He started to act again while in the San Francisco Bay Area. Todd also played with various bands in San Francisco including: Dogmor, The Judy Bloom and Flytrap. In 1999, he moved back to Austin, studied acting with various coaches and continued writing/playing music. During this time in Austin, Todd played with The Freebooters, Jean Caffienne, Dr. Todd and Baby Anacondas.
Todd moved to Los Angeles in 2012. He joined LA rock band, EdenTrain. He continued his actor training at Will Wallace Acting Company while writing and playing music in various venues in the LA area. Todd appeared in commercials films and music videos including playing a bartender in the music video for the song “What Lovers Do” with Adam Lavigne and SZA, a ranchhand in the movie, Trafficked and as A.J. Glomb in HBO miniseries McMillions.
In 2021, Todd released single “Got Dang” performed with the Dr. Todd band out of Austin. Todd continues to produce music and act in the LA area.
Todd was inspired by listening to many styles of music. Some of his music influences are Joe Walsh, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix and Ritchie Blackmore. Like Jimmy Page and Les Paul, he enjoys working with the technical aspects of music production. While most of his music performance has been on vocals and guitar, Todd also plays keyboards,

While most of his music performance has been on vocals and guitar, Todd also plays keyboards, bass guitar, harmonica, mandolin, banjo and various percussion instruments Todd has built and modified guitars, effects and amps. He appreciates how different alterations of equipment and usage techniques can influence the subtleties of sound. Todd also records, produces and mixes recorded music.
Todd has lived in California for 20 years. He lived and gigged in San Francisco in the 1990’s. After a a 10 year stint in Austin in the 2000’s he moved to Los Ageles in 2012. He continues to play music, work on acting and write songs. He also published a screenplay co-written with author, Colin Dangaard based on Colin's book, "Talking With Horses" in 2014.
